Catch a free screening of the family film ‘Monkey Up!’ at Cineplex this weekend

Want to take the kids to the movies this weekend? Then you’re in luck, as Cineplex is screening the new family film Monkey Up! for free on Saturday morning as part of its Family Favourites series.

Monkey Up!, written and directed by Robert Vince (who has experience in this genre with films like MVP: Most Valuable Primate, Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch and The Search for Santa Paws under his belt), follows a talking monkey who finds a family while on a mission for fame. It stars John Ratzenberger (Cheers) and features the voice of Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect) as Monty the monkey.

The Cineplex Family Favourites series screens a family film at select locations every Saturday morning at 11 a.m. for the low price of $2.99 per ticket. The series, which supports the charity Free the Children, runs until March 19.
