Voting has ended and five lucky Canadians have been chosen to have their vehicles on display at the 2016 Canadian International AutoShow this February.

The AutoShow Your Auto contest ran from mid-December to mid-January and, for the first time in the history of the event, asked the public to the enter their vehicles to be featured on the show floor.

“We wanted to add a fresh, interactive component to this year’s show and give our audience a chance to get involved in a unique and fun way,” Jason Campbell, General Manager of the Canadian International AutoShow, said in a press release.

Over 75 vehicles were entered in the contest, with everything from classics to exotic sport cars submitted. Along with photos, participants also had to include a story of their vehicle.

Selected by online voting and a panel of judges, the five finalists will be competing during the AutoShow for a prize of $5,000 along with a feature by Wheels.ca on their ride. While AutoShow attendees will be able to vote on their favourite out of the five finalists, the winner will be decided by a panel of judges.

The finalists include Les Toker’s 2015 Corvette Z06, Mike Livia’s 1936 Ford Pickup ‘Copperhead’, Sebastien Lagourgue’s 1974 Citroen 2CV, Sagi Marisi’s 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Daniella Sementilli’s 2011 Ford Mustang GT. To see photos of all the submissions, visit showyourauto.ca.

The 2016 Canadian International AutoShow runs February 12 – 21 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Visit autoshow.ca for more information.
