Spring is around the corner and Walmart Canada is ready to brighten up your life.
The discount retailer showed off their 2016 spring and summer home and clothing collection at a media preview in Toronto on Wednesday, and it’s apparent they have stepped up their game to fill the void Target left behind.
Customers shopping for patio furniture and outdoor accessories will find a great selection of items this year, including bar carts, beach chairs, bamboo umbrellas, weather-proof cushions and coconut cups (which I think would be great for piña coladas).
That same high quality translates to their indoor collection. With items like leaning ladder bookcases, decorative storage ottomans, a sub-$300 couch that is also a pull-out double guest bed, replica Eames Eiffel chairs (2 for $100!) and a replica Eames Eiffel table, the collection can be used to outfit a condo or a cottage.
George, Walmart’s popular clothing line, has also been overhauled and a range of colourful and fashionable dresses, shorts, bathing suits and kids apparel will be hanging on store racks soon. Again, the quality has a higher-end feel and will surprise people who usually scoff at buying “Walmart clothes.”
Walmart’s Canadiana line of camping gear has also been beefed up to include picnic sets, larger tents, a range of outerwear and soft campfire stools that look like logs.
Walmart Canada’s 2016 spring/summer collection will start rolling out to stores across the country and online at walmart.ca in April.
