Al Bundy

Ed O’Neil as Al Bundy in ‘Married… with Children’. All 11 seasons of the Fox sitcom are now available to stream on shomi.

To celebrate Father’s Day, streaming video service shomi has released all 11 seasons of the classic Fox sitcom Married… with Children.

The show follows the dysfunctional Bundy family as they struggle with the reality of being a poor, barely middle class American family in an era ruled by the Cosbys and Keatons.

Al (Ed O’Neil, Modern Family), the dad, is a former high school football star who is now stuck selling women’s shoes. His chain-smoking wife Peggy (Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy) is a lazy housewife who doesn’t cook or clean. His daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate, Anchorman) is a floozy and his son Bud (David Faustino) is a bit of a loser (and wannabe rapper).

Airing between 1987 and 1997, the raunchy show was controversial and set the tone for the Fox Network. It opened the doors for fare like The Simpsons and shows on other networks, like Roseanne.

While it has been released on DVD and has streamed on other services in the past, the shomi version of Married… with Children includes Frank Sinatra’s original version of “Love and Marriage” for the theme song and also has the unaired season three episode “I’ll See You In Court” available to stream.
