Kashi releasing new gluten free cereal in Canada

Kashi's GOLEAN Popped Clusters Vanilla Pepita

Kashi GOLEAN Popped Clusters Vanilla Pepita contains whole grain popped sorghum, pea crisps, pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and red bean flakes.

Kashi announced Tuesday it’s adding a new gluten-free cereal option to its product line in Canada.

GOLEAN Popped Clusters Vanilla Pepita contains whole grain popped sorghum, pea crisps, pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and red bean flakes (among a few other ingredients). Besides being gluten free, it’s also vegan and non-GMO Project Verified.

The idea for GOLEAN Popped Clusters Vanilla Pepita came after Kashi conducted a survey in Canada that found 92 per cent of respondents agreed that plant-based foods and an active lifestyle go together.

While not gluten free, two new flavours of Kashi Organic Promise Granola are also hitting shelves, the company announced Tuesday. These are Cocoa Coconut Oat with Kamut Khorasan Wheat and Cranberry Oat Spelt and Flax, which is a blend of whole grains, flax seeds and cranberries. Both are non-GMO Project Verified, which all Kashi products will be by the end of the year.
