While Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie didn’t make it into the Toronto International Film Festival as we had hoped, it is making a splash in the Art of Frankenweenie exhibit that made a stop at Fan Expo Canada. The exhibit includes three real sets from the film, actual character builds and other props, original sketches by Burton, and an exact replica of Burton’s desk (with a pair of his signature glasses on it). You can tell this film, which took two years to make, has been a true labour of love for Burton as the detail of these sets and characters is outstanding. While the photos below give you an idea of the exhibit, they do not do it justice and it is something that should be seen up close and personal to appreciate.
