Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Blu-ray) – If you’re a fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and you don’t already own the movie, then picking it up on Blu-ray is a no-brainer. This is the best quality of the film you’re ever going to get and it looks remarkably good in high-def. That said, this is the 25th anniversary edition and Paramount could have done something better with the release besides repackaging old features. Sadly the audio commentary with director John Hughes that was on the original DVD release is missing. Besides the slipcover case, which opens to show a map of the Chicago locations from the movie, special features are all from previous releases and include interviews with the cast and crew, making-of featurettes, and more. **** Blu-ray **** (4 out of 5 stars).
